Review of That Evening Sun (2009) by Andrew S — 25 Sep 2010

I was a bit hesitant going into this film I had heard great things about but the premise didn't sound like my cup-of-tea. Thankfully it was an intense and slow boiling southern gothic thriller that kept me enthralled the entire time.

Hal Holbrook was phenomenal in this film he was completely robbed of a oscar nomination that's for sure. Although Brook does carry the film he is helped by a diverse and strong supporting cast not to mention a great script and beautiful cinematography.
