Review of That Awkward Moment (2014) by Private U — 07 Feb 2014
"So... Where is this going?" A rom-com centred around the 'awkward' moment of whether a relationship moves forwards or ends. It's a charming and light romantic comedy, where the film is good it is fast paced, witty and well acted.
Where it is bad, the film does not tread new ground and springs a rather ill-timed death to drive home that there is a plot behind the so far joke-a-minute film. The gags however, are well placed and very funny, the cast has a great chemistry and bounce off each other to create a believable group of friends and romantic problems.
Although it does not break the mould and can be labelled slightly predictable, the film should not be taken too seriously as it does not take itself seriously (see 'rock out with cock out' scene).
A good film that deserves more credit then the slack it is taking, enjoyable throughout and definitely worth a watch.
