Review of That Awkward Moment (2014) by Brandon R — 24 Apr 2014
Though mildly amusing and aimed at a younger audience, the film fails to capture the charm and talent the three main leads evoke in their other films, and settles for weak youthful banter and useless comedic profanity.
The only real beauty of this film is the final moments of weakness and realization by the main actors, however, after 60 minutes or so of waiting for something meaningful or even humors to occur, you'll be left wishing this movie had begun in the last 30 minutes aimed in a completely different route.
What could have been a fantastic love comedy with youth and reminiscence of past titles of the genre, was instead a horrible B movie with an A list cast. But if you're looking for a high school-esque drama film to pass the time with, this is definitely for you.
