That Awkward Moment has no real awkward moments in it ... seven minutes in you know exactly what will happen with the rest of the film. The film's title refers to a moment in a relationship when the parties involved do not really know where it is headed .

.. but this film never has that moment. Starring Zac Efron (17 Again), Miles Teller (The Spectacular Now) and Michael B Jordan (Fruitvale Station) as three best friends who vow to remain single after one has a quasi-breakup with a girl one didn't even know he was dating and another finds out his wife wants a divorce.

The three men pledge to remain besties ... and be there for each other. Enter Imogen Poots (A Late Quartet) as a possible hooker who has some fun with Efron's bachelor. The film is mostly a raunchy bromance but the film has a fair share of supporting roles for women with Poots' being the most profound.

There are few surprises here although the predictable final monologue of a man-who-did-wrong is rather good (I thought so anyway ... better than expected in this film). We've seen this before but it isn't a total waste of time.

Each of the attractive leads have had better, quite credible work in the past ... so this might become a "remember when" kind of film 15 years down the road. It might be one of their awkward blemishes on better resumes.
