Review of That Awkward Moment (2014) by Marian B — 26 Jul 2014
Oh January, why do you have to be filled with shitty movies. What the hell is this? How could someone make a romantic comedy boring? I'm not a fan of romantic comedies, but i'm not bored to death by watching them.
This should be the easiest genre to make. How can someone screw up making a romantic comedy? Apparently Tom Gormican found a way. What else can you expect from someone who wrote Movie 43? Granted this is a better movie than Movie 43, but it is still really bad.
Let me start with the positives. The cast is great; they do a good job in playing the role. They have fun doing so, and they try their best they can do with the material. I'm not going to say that I didn't laugh, because there were a few times where I did laugh; more than I want to admit, but I did.
That's it; this movie is predictable, unfunny, and just complete garbage. I was so bored by this movie. There is nothing to offer here. The people don't act like real people do. They are not characters, they are caricatures.
Nobody acts like this in real life, if you think people actually act like this go outside and socialize with people. No one acts like this unless they are douche bags. I don't know if you can tell but I did not like this movie at all.
It looks cheap. It is directed badly. The dialogue is awful. This movie is just so boring. That is the worst thing that a movie can do, the sole purpose for a movie is to entertain. If this movie cannot even do that it fails in what it is made to do.
Other than a few chuckles and having a great cast this movie has nothing to offer.
