That Awkward Moment is a terribly formulaic and rather lacklustre comedy that subjects the audience to an overused plot, one-dimensional characters and witless, unintelligent jokes. The storyline seems forced for the sake of plot progression filled with boring cliche after cliche.
Although the cast is charming, there is little chemistry between Zac Efron and Imogen Poots making their story a bit dull. Overall it is a mediocre film to watch with your buds or alone late at night for the raunchy, risque humour.
