Review of Thanks for Sharing (2013) by Kraamer R — 26 Jan 2014
Vastly underrated movie. Thanks For Sharing isn't your everyday blockbuster, it's a film that focuses on the pieces that fall out of place. It's emotionally strong and it's subtly beautiful.
We don't always need others to fix our problems, but we do need them to keep us going. To keep us standing tall when we feel like we could fall. Sex addiction isn't necessarily a topic I would have thought I'd find interesting, and yet, this film was great.
It shows that no matter what your struggle is, the most beautiful part is getting better. Getting to a place where you love yourself for exactly who you are, not because you're compromising, but because you're doing your best to better yourself for yourself.
Thanks For Sharing emphasized that while there are times to be selfish, having the drive to get through those times are what teach us how to be selfless.
