Review of Thank You for Smoking (2005) by Alf L — 26 Jan 2010
This movie is smart, and it knows it. It's also pretty funny too. I can't stand cigarettes, but luckily this movie isn't trying to make you think that smoking is cool. What it does do is give you an insightful (though satirical) look at the tobacco industry and some of the crazy shenanagins (did I just say that?) that probably really happen.
All the while, you think that Aaron Eckhart's character is awesome and you wish you were half as smart as he is. Worth a rental, but it's rated R for a reason (language), so stay away kiddies.
