Review of Thank You for Smoking (2005) by Justin F — 22 May 2010
I feel as though im beginning to really like director Jason Reitmans humour & style. Its evident in Up In The Air, Juno and in this also. Up front, blatant and in your face.
Eckharts spin doctor is excellent and though you shouldnt like him for what he does, I find it difficult to argue with his reasoning and you do end up liking him. A strong supporting cast in Duval, J.K. Simmons, Rob Lowe & William H Macy help support this.
Stand out moments for me include the opening talk show scene and the Brad Pitt\Catherine Zeta Jones zero gravity love scene. Not for the easily offended and thats exactly why I like it.
