Review of Thank You for Smoking (2005) by Allie F — 07 Jan 2012
Smartly written, a great cast of characters, and an insight on the sides of the anti-smoking, Thank You For Smoking wins in many ways, but mostly from its dedicated performance from Aaron Eckhart as tobacco lobbyist Nick Naylor.
Naylor is a very smooth and persuasive talker, or as his enemies call him, a bull*****er. In the very first few minutes of the film, we see Aaron Eckheart demonstrating his skill at handling Nick, a role that he seems to be born to play.
The rest of the film is where you'll be introduced to a bunch of funny and varied characters that make it all the more interesting. Now you might not agree with everything but this is a great, fast paced film that will keep you watching.
