Review of Thank You for Smoking (2005) by Bill B — 13 Feb 2012
Funny comedy satire that walks through morally ambiguous territory. Aaron Eckhart is really good as someone who is, frankly, not good at all, actively trying to get people to smoke and using every dirty trick in the book to defend it as a habit.
The ending is sudden and utterly unrealistic but the 90 minutes beforehand is full of wonderfully made comedy and it more than makes up for the spluttering cough of the final few minutes.
