The story centred around the work carried out by the official spokesman for tobacco is a smart look at an everyday man with a highly questionable job. The film is stylish and bitingly satirical, though it can be praised more for character development than plot development especially considering the way in which the personal issues are dealt with.

All in all, it is a stunning debut feature for Jason Reitman, with hilariously witty dialogue and brilliant turns from the top notch cast.
