Probably my biggest surprise at TIFF 2012, Thale is almost impossible to categorize into a genre. It's part horror, part fantasy, part buddy comedy, and even part drama. Even though it was apparently made with a tiny budget and a rather inexperienced and small crew, the movie felt very professional to me.
The actors in the movie were also excellent and were able to bring their characters to life with a minimal amount of dialogue. I hope the crew involved in this film find sucess and go on to make more great movies.
