Review of Texas Killing Fields (2011) by Alexander P — 11 Nov 2011
I am surprised this has not scored much more highly so far. It reminds me of reading The Black Dahlia by James Ellroy in that its narrative is portrayed with a smoothness that is deceptive and it reeks with intense atmospheres.
Sam Worthington does well to shake off his blockbuster stereotyped actor style and Chloe Moretz is just as stunning in her role as when she did let me in. The rest of the cast is also superbly typecast and the music is original, moody but yet understated and cool and that just leaves the enticing shooting style which is very creatively executed and acts as the icing on the cake.
Well worth watching if you like good film.
