Review of Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022) by Boonmoon — 18 Feb 2022

I watched this last night with two friends. They knew I was nervously excited for it. We all went in with low expectations. We said that it likely would be a 5 out of 10; me saying haphazardly that it could be a 6... How wrong we all were. This was an aggressive waste of time and we decided to switch it off when it still had little over 10 minutes to go. By then we all had lost any hope and knew watching anymore would have just been irritating. Sure, its got gore if that's all you care about. However if you are interested in a well thought out plot, any well developed characters or something scary. This can only serve to dissapoint. Its not even so bad it's good, its just bereft of anything good. There was one scene which a character could have EASILY killed leatherface but no, nope... They don't cause the writers wanted to flesh out this garbage awhile longer and they lack the ability to justify any of the slop you are witnessing make any sense.

If somebody tells you this is a good movie, they simply can't be trusted. This is a clear cut case of personal opinions being invalid, when you are dealing with somebody who says says this is worth your time. Because one thing we can all agree on, is nobody enjoys stepping on a pile of dog s..t, so why would we listen to somebody that does enjoy this? You wouldn't, you wouldn't trust their opinion, why would you? This is a cinematic failure.
