Review of Tetro (2009) by Joel C — 12 Sep 2009
Two brothers meet again in South America after many year. But Angelo is no Tetro and does not want to speak of his family any more... Coppola presents a family story with a terrible oppressive father, without convincing totally: the "I'm your father" plot seems rather artificial.
But the movie remains a nice experience thanks to the wonderful B&W pictures, to the intense presence of Vincent Gallo. A sensual experience rather than a deep theoretical one...
