Beautiful film, very faithful to the spirit of the memoirs. I read and studied "Testament of Youth" in university and was captivated by the heartbreaking romance of Vera and Roland. When I heard that the movie was being made into a film, I was skeptical that Alicia and Kit would be "my" Vera and Roland--but they proved me wrong.
Supporting characters played by Taron Egerton and Colin Morgan were also wonderfully portrayed. The interweaving of Roland's poetry makes for a beautiful backdrop to the story.
