Testament of Youth showcases the powerhouse acting talent that is Alicia Vikander. Its her that gives the movie its edge, as everyone else is simply there. Its based on the war memoir, and its a lush and stunningly well produced period piece film about war, tragedy, and moving on.
Its a bit on the stiff side with the other players, but Vikander is amazing and makes the film worth seeing.
