Review of Testament (1983) by Trent C — 31 Mar 2008
I gave it three stars because it is a depressing movie. It was really well done though. The premise is that a family living in the 1980's in America endures a nuclear holocaust. Lots of radiation sickness in this one.
However, the general theme is (I believe) how we have become somewhat complacent with life, and given our natural human tendencies toward selfishness we have lots of work to do to overcome our inherent flaws.
On the flip side, it shows people doing just that and attempts to end in hope rather than despair. Not a family movie at all.
