Review of Tess (1979) by Clay B — 25 Mar 2006
Roman Polanski directs Tess based on the noval Tess of the d'Urberville's that Polanski's wife Sharon Tate gave him before, she was murdered by the Charles Manson family. Now hes living in excile in Europe because hes been facing charges in the US for statutory rape of a 13 year old girl, since 1978.
Any way the movie, wasn't that good. I watched it in english as part of my teachers film analysis unit (which I learned more in this than a semester of film analysis class) Ive been trying to interprite movies ever since. In Brokeback Mountain (I'm not gonna give anything away, I promiss) I was able to tell that something was going to happen before it happened.
It wasn't that good.
