The Kiss-inspired band The Clowns are rising rock stars with live shows that push the envelope by cutting up dummies on stage. Crowd violence has injured two bouncers already. With someone killing the band's groupies, their manager knows how to take the edge off the situation - booze, drugs, and loose women.
Director Don Edmonds of Ilsa fame goes with an economical all-rookie cast, the most famous of which became the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld. The Clowns were played by an actual band called The Names, who never made it big but sound alright.
