We all know that Godzilla films are all about the monster fights and city wide destruction and in this regard, Terror of Mechagodzilla truly shines. It has great miniature FX and fight sequences. Where the film tends to fail is in the story.
Like most Godzilla stories, it isn't anything spectacular but this goes a tad further by introducing a romance element that just didn't make any sense. It all culminates with the line "Even if you're a cyborg, Katsura, I still love you!".
