I have seen my share of Godzilla movies. Popular ones like Godzilla vs Mothra to Godzilla vs. Megalon which is absolutly crazy (in a good way). Lots of Godzilla plots are dull...but the movies are still good for the fights.
Terror Of Mechagodzilla has prolly the best plot of all Godzilla movies and one of the best musical scores I have ever herd. It is also directed the Honda dude who is the best at making Godzilla movies.
The intro gives a quick look at the power of Mechagodzilla and how Godzilla was able to defeat it. Mechagodzilla was created by aliens called Strange People From the Thrid Planet...yes.. I realize that is earth.
An angry scientist that wanted to prove that he found and was able to control a dinosaur (Titanisaurous). Nobody believes him so now he hates people. He makes a deal with the aliens to have Mechagodzilla and Titanisaurous take out Godzilla and then Tokyo so the aliens can live.
Its about half-way into the movie and Godzilla is nowhere to be seen. The scientist wants to prove that Titanisaurous is tough (even though is really a nice gentle Dinosaur). Since he controls it, it makes a muck of a dock/city.
NUCLEAR BREATH KNOCKS DOWN TITANISAUROUS!!!!! GODZILLA APPEARS WITH A FADE IN!!!! AMAZING!!! The music pops in and the camera makes a 90 degree turn from behind Godzilla to the side to see both begin to fight.
Though short, it is an amazing scene. Titanisaurous backs away and later he and Mechagodzilla start attacking Tokyo. Godzilla comes in again and gets the crap beat out of him. The human people found a weakness in Titanisaurous, ultra soundwaves or something.
They finally get the machine done and keep Titanisaurous busy. Godzilla gets strength back and Mechagodzilla is angry. Mechgodzilla unleashes his fury with lots of explosions that look really nice. Godzilla catches up to him and starts punching him.
Mechagodzilla is then taken out and Titanisaurous soon after. This is the best Godzilla movie ever and a must see.
