Review of Terribly Happy (2008) by Eric A — 12 Feb 2010
I get the sense that "Terribly Happy" was trying to be something of a Coen-esque dark comedy (it was certainly promoted as such) but it works better as a morality play/chilly neo-noir. Even accidents have consequences.
Minus a half star for having a premise that is almost identical to "Hot Fuzz" (for which I recognize the filmmakers have gargantuan balls) but quite obviously failing to live up to the same level of execution.
