Review of Terms of Endearment (1983) by Johan T — 11 Oct 2007
There are very few American movies that can so completely get me without a silly build-up and an over-all too familiar a concept.. But Terms of Endearment got you gasping for some non-realism and un-earthy romance. Life rolls by, and we can barely follow it, as tears are everywhere, parallels from "real life" keep slamming in on your every little hope to keep this movie at arm's length.
You cannot. You just cannot keep this movie at arm's length, it will be right in your face and annoy you and make you relate to them annoying people and situations and that amazingly un-empathic person you wish you never met and fell hopelessly in love with...
Heres a full menu, salty tears all over every dish.
