Shirley Maclaine finally gets the role of a lifetime + an Oscar, and even though Debra Winger also is memorable, it is Shirley's film. Jack Nicholson charmed himself to an Oscar with a good portion of self-irony.
Great score and plenty of tearful-scenes towards the end.
