I thought the writing, direction, and acting were superb...especially Maclaine's. Definately a tear-jerker as well as a natural potrayal of growing times between mother and daughter. I laud the characters the most and interaction between them all.
I just wish they would play more into the eras of Emma's life...meaning did this take place in the late 70s?
