This movie has held up after 30 years. Debra Winger's third successful performance IN A ROW. MacLaine and Nicholson's chemistry compared to that of Fonda and Hepburn two years earlier in "On Golden Pond" (they never worked with each other prior to each movie).
They deserved their Oscars. Best Movie of 1983.
