Review of Terms of Endearment (1983) by Vicki — 25 Aug 2008
A shockingly great movie with first rate actors. This is another one of those tearjerkers, but unlike Beaches, the characters seem to have more humanity than expected. This is also a dramedy. Shirley MacLaine and Jack Nicholson are great, giving us a convincing portrait of their zany relationship.
The movie though belongs to Debra Winger, giving one of the best performances I've seen, making one truly feel for her and understand why she does certain things.
