Review of Terms of Endearment (1983) by Ryan D — 20 Jan 2010
This film is about a mother (Shirley MacLaine) and her grown up daughter and their relationship over several years. In the film the daughter has a few kids, lives in another state, cheats on her husband, etc. The film is kind of slow until one day the mom finds out she has cancer and she then dies a few scenes later. The film also features Jack Nickolson.
Overall, this film won five Oscars including best picture. Of the five, three went to The Simpsons producer James L. Brooks.
Overall, this was a decent movie which seemed better than it was thanks to a fairly good ending.
78.5/100.
