Review of Terminator Salvation (2009) by Stevenh — 16 Jul 2009
Bale using Batman voice. Worthington as a movie version of Kane from Quake 4. Some annoying kid with a voice out of Doug as Kyle Reese. Illogical and unexplainable behavior by supposedly sentient AIs (for example, SkyNET sends a missile directly at the resistance base but treats John Connor, their actual target, like a puppy when they see him).
General lack of actual battles in favor of Mad Max. The amount of Terminators in the film could probably be counted on one hand. Most ridiculous dialogue. People being blown back 100 feet on wires from explosive shells rather than being torn to shreds, and not even bleeding afterward.
Generally pointless and inconsistent plot. PG-13.
