Review of Terminator Salvation (2009) by Nik M — 21 Oct 2012
Terminator Salvation was a long awaited sequel to the original trilogy that would mark the start of the iconic war that was prophesied in the first Terminator. Now, with this chance of exploring the potential of John Connor, Salvation stumbles and becomes a bloated special effects feast.
They are impressive for the most part, but the entire plot structure doesn't revolve around interesting characters or any real human establishment. There is the resistance and the scattered few in the one or two cities we are exposed to.
Geographically, we feel claustrophobic, as if things are just too coincidentally close together to start a fight or show off some explosions.
