Review of Terminator Salvation (2009) by Jay L — 03 Nov 2012
"The End Begins..".
An astonishing and eye popping action-packed epic that packs a serious punch. Filled with madly intense action sequences and spectacular special effects, Director McG has crafted yet another great Terminator film. A movie that works great with the James Cameron classics, the story sticks well and the dazzeling action never disappoints. Terminator: Salvation is a head bashing and bone bruising thrill ride straight into the depths of science fiction. Exhilarating from beginning to end from the action and sound effects to the story and the acting. It's another solid chapter into the storied action saga with hopefully more to come in the near future.
Christian Bale was recruited in a great casting call by McG and company, Bale takes the part of Jon Connor and nails the performance as always. Sam Worthington is a revelation in his pre-Avatar performance. Anton Yelchin is great as well as Bryce Dallas, Moon Bloodgood, and Common. Great acting by a very well assembled cast.
A seriously entertaining and hardcore science fiction action film that doesn't compare to the classics, but is still very thoroughly entertaining. It delivers the fun and the thrills in bundles, highly enjoyable film. Here's to making another trilogy for the big screen.
