I'm getting sick of hearing/reading terrible reviews for action/adventure movies. It seems like every time I turn around, I see some stupidly low reviews for a film that, upon viewing, I can't find a serious fault with.
Today's culprit? Terminator Salvation. I just watched it today. I tend to wait to see a movie. There are very few new releases I see. My Judgment? IT WAS A FUCKING TERMINATOR FILM! NOT FUCKING CITIZEN KANE.
.. Why does/do the critical industry/grassroots hipsters bother rating action films on the same fucking scale?Does it fit the series? YES (not a difficult accomplishment, since continuity errors can be explained with alternative timelines) Did it add a reasonable amount of fan-service, without destroying the fourth wall (like T3 did)? Yes! Was it a fun action film? Yes!I'm starting to understand why critics are seen as one of the lowest orders of life; below molds and viruses.
That includes amateur critics too. Eat a dick if you thought you were too sophisticated for a "shooting at robots" movie.
