Review of Terminator Salvation (2009) by Landon M — 21 Nov 2015
Well it's not the awful abomination I've been told it is, but it still sucks. Salvation is the worst Terminator movie, in my opinion worse than Genisys. While the acting and score is decent, the movie is plagued by terrible direction, awful writing, and an uninteresting story.
Christian Bale does his best, but he can't save it. Sam Worthington actually does a decent job, but is ultimately bogged down by the same thing Bale is: Terrible writing and directing. McG is like the 99 cent Michael Bay, and has no business directing a Terminator movie.
It's slow-paced, action scenes are absolutely plain and boring, and there are no stakes. The visuals are great, most of the time. I was never really frustrated watching it, but it became apparent at how unmemorable it was after I had finished watching it.
I will probably never watch this movie again, so sorry T4, but I won't be back. 3.75/10.
