Review of Terminator Genisys (2015) by Lukas B — 15 Nov 2015

It may be because of the bad reviews that lowered my expectations but I enjoyed it for what it was. I have not seen T2 or T3 but that didn't make me lost at anytime. Jai Courtney has been this actor that I didn't purposely follow his career for the past few years but still has never really left any impression to me but here he did and I think he makes for a feasible action star.

Emilia Clarke does good job as well and Jason Clarke was alright but he didn't do a whole lot different then his last action movies. Arnold is fine coming back to the role but I was far more interested in Jai Courtney than him.

JK Simmons has a great small part that I expected to be longer but makes it worth his time. I think why people are not so keen on this movie is they aren't turning off their brains for this one. Yes you should make an effort to make your mythology of time travel make sense but if you don't get wrapped up into it too much and sit back and relax it is a decent action movie.
