Review of Terminator Genisys (2015) by Ilja S — 23 Jan 2016
Let me point out one thing, this movie is not as bad as Salvation. The least it has characters you care about (I guess). It is very well shot, and EVERY scene Arnold is in is hilarious as shit. And this is where the positive things end.
The story is boring, it has several plotholes, and the worst thing, just watching the trailer you have already seen it all. I thought the same thing when I watched the Jurassic World trailer (which also gave away too much), but there were still elements in the movie you didn't expect.
Not for Genysis, there is nothing you don't see coming, the T-1000 is just there to be in the movie (could have been replaced by basically anyone) and the Skynet 'plottwist' with the little kid and all was so boring, you wished this movie to be over soon.
Emilia Clarke was okay, and I can definately see her take over another action franchise, but please bury the Terminator franchise as deep as possible. If Genysis couldn't get it right, nothing can.
