Review of Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003) by Greg P — 11 Dec 2011
I liked this movie. Not as much as the other Terminator movies but that's ok. One of the things that I really like is that even thought Connor thought he had stopped Judgment Day, he finds out that it is inevetible.
I think that this helps connect the movie with the original. For there to have been a war originally before the first terminator came back in time, something had to trigger this advancement. Therefore, even though they destroyed the arm and chips in T2, the machines were still going to become sentient and take over.
Another twist in this movie is having a female terminator. Kristanna Loken looks awesome as the terminatrix and it's cool watching her battle against a much bigger Arnold. Despite what others say, I think that this movie fits well in the series and helps allow for it to continue on with the war between humans and machines.
