Review of Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003) by Mike B — 29 Apr 2012
This is not the worst film ever made but it may as well be. Not only is this film severely below expectation but worse still it has insulted and marred the spectacular sci fi legacy left behind by its predecessors.
T3 is more a spoof of the Terminator franchise rather than a worthy entry.
Loud, campy, over the top action with massive missing story links this is a poor installment.
I have 1 question of Jonathan Mostow, why couldn't he research the story of this franchise?
From the very begining there are inconsistencies, Nick Stahl's voice over states the second terminator was sent after him when when he was 13, the first film was set in 84 the second film in 95 making John ten years old accounting for maternity time.
No effort, no real desire to tell a story , this is Hollywood trying to earn a quick buck.
