Review of Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003) by Adam K — 16 Aug 2012
The absence of James Cameron is greatly felt in this downfall to what could have become a flawless trilogy. It lacks a lot of the intensity and individuality that the first two films had and plays itself off as more of an imitation piece to the hard work Cameron had put into the first two films.
Stahl is unconvincing as John Connor and the elimination of Sarah Connor and even the absence of Linda Hamilton gave a real blow to the story. Yes Schwarzennegger is still here, but no great puzzle can be complete without its counterparts.
Easily forgettable, not even a shocking ending can save this flat attempt at following up the work of an auteur.
