Review of Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003) by James Z — 12 Nov 2015
I'm a big fan of the Terminator series. I've seen one, two and Salvation many, many times. This one is just horrible. The entire basis for the Terminator story is a post apocalyptic war between humans and machines yet somehow they try and pull this one off as a comedy.
It seriously does not work. I originally saw this in the theaters when it first came out in 03' and just watched it again for the second time today because it's on Netflix and I couldn't get through 30 minutes of it.
Everything Arnold said was a one liner and a recycled, halfhearted one at that. The writing to me was so bad that I was genuinely perplexed at how they could spend a hundred million dollars and not get a decent script out of it.
I mean, how do you do that? I would say skip this one and probably Genisys too. Cameron has T6 coming out in Nov. 2019 and I can't wait for the true master to bring Terminator back on line.
