I'd say the third's about even with the first, stupid premise that feels like a repeat of the second, but makes up for it with a great story, great cast, great action, being more comical than the first two ("talk to the hand") and great special effects.
my only complaint is that it doesn't have the emotion that you got from T2, and you don't mind if THIS terminator gets killed at the end, because it's not the terminator from the second (even IF he's still a good guy).
