Review of Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003) by Bryan S — 16 Mar 2013
Terminator 3 suffers from the third movie syndrome. When the first 2 movies of a series were fantastic, the 3rd movie is inevitably held to an impossible standard. Taken on its own, Terminator 3 is an excellent chapter in the final moments of human civilization before judgement day actually happens.
The acting and action are no worse than the previous two films but because of the length of time between the others, an untouchable aura has been built around those films making this one doomed before it was even written.
Some of the scenes are rehashed or tweaked but they have more of nostalgic feel for the fans of the series. This film on it's own was a great movie to see.
