Review of Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) by Johnathon W — 07 Jun 2015
Epic sequel that improves on the original in every way, with everyone involved giving career best work. Cameron shows that he could work with large budgets just as good as small, and every dollar appears on the screen with some breath-taking action sequences & special effects (the T-1000 CGI still holds up, thanks to the innovative way it's used), along with a tight story with nice callbacks to the original.
Schwarzenegger morphs his T-800 character from one of the great movie monsters of the original to one of its best heroes while Hamiliton transforms physically & mentally into a woman you can now believe is the mother of John Connor.
Robert Partick is equally superb as the T-1000, coming across as a lethal predator & one of the greatest movie villains of all time. A true classic and, too date, still Cameron's best film.
