Review of Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) by Evokings — 16 Sep 2016
Vary entertaining movie I was happy to see they dared to go in another direction from the first film, the effects while vary primitive by todays standards, they look vary well devised and carefully filmed, at times they add a mechanical effect to the terminators motion and makeup, and thats a good thing too, because most cg robots these days look too synthetic in movement... almost too human in a way, this gives the terminator more realism as a killing machine... he's not a killing machine pretending to move like a man, so that he can kill you, he's a machine that is willing to loose the human makeup and still function to kill you, and miles ahead of the modern day cg that mimics human movement.
My thoughts are this film is among the best action movies ever made easily in the top 10 ever made James Francis Cameron did a great Job directing, and so too did the effects, makeup, and animatronics department all did a fantastic job here.
