Review of Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) by Prime P — 31 Jan 2015
Holy shit!
We all know where sequels tend to go, constantly trying to remember their predecessor with rehashed moments, or trying to go above and beyond without creating any interesting aspects. And when we look at the action genre the first thing we get is the brains of a lobotomized snail; however, Terminator 2: Judgment Day is perfectly paced, expands new concepts with the skynet's murder-bots, and improves upon it's original characters. I mean shit Sarah Conor is more badass then Sylvester Stallone in most of his roles. It feels so refreshing to watch this movie because it has so much. I never found myself questioning the liquid metal robot which is something to take note of considering I just called the T-1000 a "liquid metal robot". I mean how did Cameron pull this off? I will tell you how cause he knows to build off and original concept that involves one main antagonist and take it to the next level with incredible action. Watch Aliens if you need more evidence of this phenomenon. All in all it's one of the best movies you will ever see because there are just so many moments where you can say "Holy shit that was dark" or "Holy shit that was sad" or "Holy shit that was cool" or "Holy f*cking shit did you just see that liquid metal transform into another person and stab him in the f*cking face o my god!".
