Review of Tequila Sunrise (1988) by William R — 15 Jul 2008
I was recommended this movie and I surely won't let anyone else suffer through it, like I did. Could there have been a crappier cast..... NO. This is the worst there is. Mel Gibson is definitely not my favourite, since he is a jew hater, and just because he is an overall BAD ACTOR in most of his movies.
Maybe I shouldn't even refer to him as an actor, maybe just a sleezeball. But I shouldn't let just his performance make the movie bad for me. Raul Julia was pretty good (reason why someone recommended to me, cause they liked Raul Julia).
I have no problem with Robert Towne, but it amazed me how someone who WROTE CHINATOWN, could have failed miserably with this film. Who ever came up with the idea to even make a movie about this, I don't know, they just shouldn't want to meet me in a dark alley at night.
