Review of Tequila Sunrise (1988) by Jebus C — 05 Jun 2010
Proof if you ever needed it that even if you have a huge star, a great supporting cast and one of the best writers in the history of Hollywood and a good plot you can still make a mediocre film. I like how the movie is against the usual good guy/bad guy structure and yet despite and epic supporting role from Raul Julia it couldn't seem to elevate itself.
It just goes through the motions without ever realising its considerable potential. Michelle Pfeiffer seems particularly unmotivated and bland. This is probably the least convincing performance of her career.
Disappointing.
