Review of Tequila Sunrise (1988) by Ashley H — 22 Jan 2007
It features a wonderful cast, strong performances (including two excellent smaller roles for the late Raul Julia and J.T. Walsh, both of whom died way too young) and fantastic writing. The scenery seems dated today, but cinematography work was a masterpiece for 1988.
Think "Out of Sight" but few years earlier. Dialogue is memorable as is sexy Michelle Pfeiffer. While plot is fairly simple, character development is thorough and characters themselves, believable.
Overall, it's a great film.
