Review of Tequila Sunrise (1988) by Ben F — 13 Jan 2010
The one thing I can say about this movie, is that it could have been much better. Their were many problems which needed to be addressed.
First of all, their is too much going on in this film for the script to handle. Their is a bunch of romance, a guy on the run, and above all else, a friendship. In any other movie this would have worked out, but for some reason with tequilla sunrise it just wasn't very good.
Many of the sequences in this movie are very dull. There were times where I just wanted to shut off the film because it was so boring. Their really wasn't anything really good about this movie, but it wasn't HORRIBLE. Kurt Russell and Mel Gibson always do a good job with their rolls, and Michelle Pfeeiffer was pretty much eye candy the entire film.
Overall, I would never ever ever see this movie again. It was pretty boring, the acting was so so, and it had too much going on at once. Very disappointing.
